Welcome to my portfolio website! My name is Maeve MacDonagh-Dumler and I'm eighteen years old. I have a passion for art and drawing. I'm a first year student at DKIT studying Creative Media. Within my course I have created multiple art pieces using a variety of medias and mediums. This website is an exclusive look into my creative process and pieces throughout my course this year.

This piece initially was a pencil and charcoal sketch using a mixture of white paper and brown craft paper. Using my photoshop skills I enhanced this piece by adding abstract shaded boxes around the hands. I liked the structure and different colour tones and shadows I was able to achieve on this art piece in photoshop.

This is a photograph I took in NUIG, Galway using a 35MM Camera. I created this piece for my photography module in semester one. This module taught us to explore different exposure levels and to look for photo opportunities in an innovative way.

This piece was an observational study of a mechanical object for my portfolio. I choose an old compass and studied it in many different angles, sketching them out on a high contrast sheet.

This piece displays many photos of the same shoes, in slightly different angles. Then placed into photoshop that automatically places the images into a 5x3 rowed contact sheet. This was part of my design module where we studied shoes as our design artefact.

This piece was an interpretation of the word "bold" we had to create for a Photoshop Blackbow study. This task required us to make a design only using black boxes.
